About Our Team

Here at CornerPost we make a great team! Paul Crooks is able to tell you everything you would want to know about how CornerPost is designed specifically for your business because he owns a fence company himself. In 1985 Paul Crooks, an engineer from Villanova University, took over the reins of Taylor Fence Company  www.taylorfence.com,  a company started by his father in 1959.  In the late 80s he purchased and began to use the only software for fence companies which was available at the time.  As time went on however, he became increasingly dissatisfied with this software.  At the same time, he was unable to make generic, off-the-shelf software work efficiently for his fence company. 

In 1993 Paul approached Matt Minahan, an engineer and software developer employed by an electric utility, and asked him to work with him to design and build a better fence software package for his fence company.  In 1995 Paul and Matt put their new software package, named CornerPost, into production at Taylor Fence.  With the help of CornerPost, Taylor Fence has experienced dramatic business growth each year since 1995.  Paul and Matt formed Cornerstone Software Inc. for the purpose of further developing CornerPost and making it available to other fence companies.  

As others soon saw the benefits of CornerPost the business began growing. Paul and Matt saw the need to add more to the team. Since that time Michael Minahan from Indiana has built and designed our webpage, and our most recent addition has been me. My name is Heidi Johnson and I am thrilled to be part of the CornerPost team! I have been traveling on and off with the company for a couple years helping with trade shows and logistical details. After working with a local metro Detroit marketing firm for a few years, I am excited to be a permanent employee of a company that is much more personal and close to me.

Through this blog I am looking forward to sharing with you upcoming events, as well as bringing you notes on CornerPost updates from our President, Paul and Manager of Technology, Matt Minahan. We also look forward to holding forums on questions, suggestions or comments that you may have.
